The Sussex County, Delaware RACES Group is responding to a formal request for mutual aid from the Kent County Amateur Radio Club. We will respond with Ham comm One and the support trailer. The Sussex County EOC is sending the Mobile Command Post.

This is a "Noon to Noon" Saturday to Sunday operation from the parking lot of the Kent County Levy Court Administration Building located on Route 113 just north of the Blue Hen Corporate Complex.
The challenge will be to set up operations in a parking lot, with its lack of "skyhooks" and the in-ability to drive stakes for anchoring and grounding. Additionally, there will be the requirement, since this will be in a public venue, of providing for the safety of the public and visitors. There will also be a survey to assure that the RF safety requirements of an "uncontrolled space" are met. An opportunity for an excellent exercise, since disaster relief operations are often located in parking lots.
